It answers when a human asks; it cannot wake up at 9am, watch a spreadsheet, chase an invoice, or log what it did while you were serving customers. More questions answered per day, stronger models, bigger files. All still pull: a human types, the AI replies, the AI forgets to follow up because following up was never something it could do.

A system buys the boring parts. Make's unit is a credit — "each module action in your scenario, like adding a Google Sheet row or fetching Gmail account data, counts as one credit" [3]. That's the stuff of actual automation: watch → decide → act → record. Its AI Agents run on every plan including Free [4], so the AI brain and the plumbing come together.

• OpenAI reaches SG wallets via the App Store at the prices above [1]; its web pricing is unverifiable from automated infrastructure — a reminder to check the live page before subscribing.
• PDPA note you should actually read: on free tiers, your chats train the models. Google's notice says free-tier conversations are used to improve its AI and that a subset are reviewed by humans [5]. Fine for drafting a promo caption; not fine for pasting a customer list. Paid business tiers change those terms — that, more than model quality, is the honest reason a business upgrades chat.

Which one for which business

• Solo owner, mostly writing and thinking: free ChatGPT or Gemini. Stop reading, you're done — spend the hour on the content prompt pack instead.
